Update on IPED

The IPED journal was established in 2015 and closed in 2024. It was a multi-lingual and fully open access journal publishing peer reviewed papers covering any aspect of equality and diversity, such as studies of employment, education and other provision of services. The aim of the journal was to provide a forum for international research which advances and challenges our understanding of equality and diversity from innovative theoretical and empirical perspectives.

IPED was an innovative journal which aimed to challenge norms in research publishing which replicated racialised, gendered, classes and ableist inequalities. We thank all the contributors, reviewers, special issue editors and editors who worked so hard to help us do research publishing differently.

IPED’s co-editors in chief were: Professors Kate Sang, Abigail Powell and Rebecca Finkel. They were supported by an editorial board: Maria Tsouroufli, Chrissi McCarthy, Kosum Omphornuwat, Victoria Showumni, Felizitas Sagebiel, Jeannette Silva Flores, Kate Bower, James Richards, Josie Kinge, Kate White, Christopher Lyon, Barbara Myers, Danielle Eiseman and Roaa Ali.
